So, I’ve been swamped, and have no idea how I am functioning, but I managed to finish my Yoka custom for the Yoka show taking place at Designer Con in Pasadena, CA. Click here for more details: http://www.vinyltoynetwork.com/#at
Here are some wip shots of my custom, hope you enjoy.

Hello World,
Welcome to my new blog spot, this is where I will share all of the projects I am working on, whether it be paintings, toy customs, or sculpts. I plan on keeping this fairly up to date, so check back often.
So lets start my 1st post with a painting I just finished. I will show you all the steps I went through before reaching the final.
the sketch I started out with:
a study of the painting, just to get a better idea of where I wanted to go, this way I would work out the kinks and not worry about ruining the final:
I wanted to take it further and make sure I had the lighting correct in the final so I built a quick sculpt as a reference:
After many long hours I finally finished this piece, or at least I think its done for now.
(sometimes paintings beg for more paint):
Hope you enjoyed this post, and I look forward to seeing you here again soon.
Thanks,
-Lou
