They’re FINALLY DONE!!!!

Over 3 years in the making, I’ve finally completed the GUARDIAN 10″ run for my first year (2007) Subscribers. (yeah I know… took long enough right?)  I created a total of 15 pcs and the majority are going to my subbers, but due to a few previous arrangements I have 3 that are available on my store.

After a few different tries at making these I finally settled on using cut PVC plastic sheeting to create the raised surfaces.  Each piece was hand assembled, filled, sanded, and painted resulting in a mini production line here in the studio.  Extreme detail was put into the construction of these as I wanted them to look as close to production as possible.

In order to make each piece unique I mixed up the various colors between figures and wings.  There is one “repeat” colorway (black w/ white wings) that cleverly matches the “STEALTH” GUARDIAN 5″ MAD*L’s that I released a few months ago.  You can find all the pics over on my flickr page.

MTD Holiday Promotion

As you may know I did this last year and it was a lot of fun.  I’ve decided this year the custom will be a giant hand painted version of my “MAD APE” Dunny from the “Dunny 2009 Series” by Kidrobot.  For every $50 you spend on my store from Nov. 27th – Dec 27th (gotta spend that xmas cash somewhere right?) you’ll get a ticket for the custom.  Order as many times as you’d like, there’s no limit to how times you can enter.  On Dec. 28th I’ll be doing a video drawing to announce the winner, then contact that person via email.  The custom is currently in base coat phase and will be ready by the end of the year, and all shipping is covered globally.

Lastly I’d like to thank all the fans and supporters for another great year!

MAD

That’s right!  I know I’ve been slow on the blogging, but this is partly why.  Right now I’m working a ton of customs trying to cut down my list of never ending “to do’s” but managed to bang out these 5 custom 5″ Madl’s.  Based off my Guardian characters (which I’ve done as custom 10″ Mad*l’s before) these have an added bit of dimension to their surface.  Lots more pics on my flickr.

Just got images of my latest collab with the fine peeps over at Fully Visual and thought I’d share.

As you can see there’s a handfull of metal’s this time around being used.  Each is around 2.5″ tall and will be super limited… some as low as 50 pcs.  Keep an eye out here or on the FV site for drop dates and sales!

I wanted to give a big shout out to all the people who came out to my Kidrobot signings in NY and Miami!  As always the fans were top notch and very patient!

If you haven’t heard already, I’ll be dropping into Miami (my first time there) for a special solo show at Kidrobot’s store/ gallery!  The show will be packed full of all new paintings, prints, and custom toys… many based off my BoOoya Ghosts characters! (which happen to be dropping as toys the night before in NY)  One of the customs I worked up for the show is done on a VERY rare 18″ Kidrobot mascot figure.

**The size of this piece is awesome and I really really want to keep him.
